DOWASCO is governed by a Board of Directors comprising individuals from both the private and public sectors. The Board of Directors are appointed by the Minister of Public Utilities Energy & Ports.
The Management of the day to day operations of the company is the responsibility of the General Manager, who is assisted by a management team made up of the Financial Comptroller, Chief Engineer, Manager Customer Service & Human Resource Development and Manager Operations & Maintenance.
DOWASCO has four(4) departments and they are as follows:
- Customer Service & Human Resource Development
- Finance
- Engineering
- Operations & Maintenance
The ultimate responsibility for DOWASCO rests with the Board of Directors who report to the shareholder – the Government of Dominica. The Board is responsible for the activities and fiscal integrity of DOWASCO; it sets policies which will ensure that it fulfills its legal, financial, operational and professional responsibilities to the stakeholders of DOWASCO.
