DESCRIPTION:UPDATE – WA 1 SHUTDOWN DUE TO HEAVY SILTATION\n\n\nDOWASCO informs customers in communities served by the Water Area 1 network (MERO to CASTLE COMFORT) that they may experience interruption in their water supply today Thursday\, August 1 as this network has been shut down as of Wednesday\, July 31 to preserve water in storage.\n\n\n\nThis is as a result of heavy rainfall in the heights of Sylvania which has caused excessive siltation at the Springfield River. Customers may continue to be served by water in storage tanks but should expect interruption in service as storage volumes decrease.\n\n\n\nDOWASCO assures affected customers that every measure will be taken to resolve this challenge as quickly as possible. We will continue provide updates in this regard.\n\n\n\nWe regret the inconvenience and thank customers for their understanding in this matter.
