Assistant Pipe Fitters Alpha Othon and Eustace Winston proudly represented DOWASCO at the 8th Caribbean Water Operators Conference (CWOC), held from June 25–27, 2025, at the Beachcombers Hotel in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Organized by the Caribbean Water and Sewerage Association (CAWASA), the annual CWOC provides a critical platform for regional water utility operators to come together, share knowledge, and discuss real-world challenges affecting water and sewerage services in the Caribbean. The theme for this year’s conference was: “Empowering Water Utility Operators: A Pathway to Sustainability.”
This year’s event saw participation from across the region, with a strong emphasis on practical solutions, innovation, and collaboration in the face of growing environmental and infrastructure demands. Operators had the opportunity to present technical papers, showcase best practices, and exchange experiences in areas such as water quality management, system resilience, and operational efficiency.
We’re also proud to highlight that DOWASCO’s General Manager, Mr. Bernard Ettinoffe, currently serves as President of CAWASA, reinforcing Dominica’s leadership role in shaping the future of water and sanitation across the region.
DOWASCO remains committed to developing its team and investing in knowledge-sharing opportunities that build resilience and sustainability in the services we provide to the people of Dominica.
