DOWASCO held a community meeting in Calibishie on Thursday June 26 as part of ongoing plans to keep the beneficiary communities engaged during the implementation of the Water Sector Strategic Development Project (WSSDP).
This initiative is aimed at improving water supply infrastructure and ensuring more reliable access to water in four key Dominica (the West Coast, Morne Jaune, Castle Bruce and Salisbury).
At the meeting held at the Calibishie Baptist Church residents were updated on the progress of the project and insight into how it will directly benefit the community.
For many years, Calibishie has experienced persistent challenges with water availability, affecting households and daily life. DOWASCO shared plans for the design and implementation of enhanced water systems in the area, which are expected to bring much-needed relief and greater consistency in water access. The company reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with residents and stakeholders throughout the process.
We thank the people of Calibishie for their active participation and valuable input during the meeting.
Their continued engagement is essential to the successful delivery of this project.
